Ufone is Pakistan’s third largest GSM operator with a subscriber base of just over 23 million customers as of March 2013 . Like Mobilink and Telenor , Ufone too offers both prepaid and postpaid voice and data plans along with a wide selection of phones ranging from entry-level to high-end smartphones . Ufone was slightly late to the 3G party , only launching its service s in mid – 2014 ; however , it has made up for lost time by offering some very attractive 3G packages .

Unfortunately , Ufone does not yet offer 4G LTE services . Zong is China Mobile ‘s subsidiary operating in Pakistan with over 18 million subscribers as per published figures for March 2013 . Zong ‘s main focus has been on providing quality 2G/EDGE coverage across Pakistan rather than investing heavily in 3 /4 G infrastructure ; however , that changed somewhat when Zong became first telecom company to commercially launch 4 G/LTE Services in Pakistan back in June 2014 .

While slower than what ‘s being offered by competitors such as PTCL ( 50 Mbps ) or Qubee ( 30 Mbps ), Zong ‘s 15 Mbps download speed still makes it one worth considering if you want access to fast mobile broadband speeds without having to fork out a lot of money each month . Warid Telecom rounds off our list of top 5 telecom companies operating in Pakistan with just under 18 million subscribers according to latest figures from April 2014 . Warid used be part owned by Abu Dhabi Group but majority shareholding was acquired recently by Gulf Investment Corporation thus changing ownership structure completely .

Mobile Service in Pakistan Today

Pakistan is a country located in southern Asia. The region now straddling the border of present-day Pakistan and Afghanistan is one of the most torn regions of the world. Not only has it been home to some of history’s most powerful empires – Alexander’s, the Mongols’, the Mughals’, the British – but also witnessed their violent downfall.

The last hundred years have been no different: first there was British colonialism, then partition and independence, followed by military rule and instability. Currently Pakistan is going through a period of transition, with a new civilian government trying to establish control over a country that has seen more than its fair share of turmoil. One area that has been relatively stable throughout all this time is telecommunications.

In fact, Pakistan was one of the first countries in South Asia to introduce mobile phone services. Today, there are over 140 million mobile phone subscribers in Pakistan – that’s almost 70% penetration! And with 3G and 4G services now available, this number is only going to grow.

The availability of affordable mobile phone services has had a transformative effect on Pakistani society. It has brought people closer together and made communication much easier. For businesses, it has opened up new markets and allowed them to reach out to customers in ways never before possible.

And for the government, it has created opportunities for better governance and service delivery (think m-governance and m-health). There are still some challenges though. One is network coverage; while most urban areas have good connectivity, rural areas are often still left behind due to lack of infrastructure.

Another challenge is affordability; even though prices have come down significantly in recent years, many people still find it difficult to afford a mobile phone or pay for monthly usage charges. And then there are issues like spam calls and SMSes which need to be tackled as well . But overall , things are moving in the right direction and we can expect even more progress in the years ahead .

All Mobile Company Name List in World There are literally thousands of mobile phone companies in the world today. It’s hard to know where to start when trying to list them all. However, we’ve compiled a comprehensive list of all the major mobile phone companies in the world, so you can get an idea of the sheer size and scope of the industry.

Starting with the big guns, Apple and Samsung are undoubtedly two of the biggest mobile phone companies in the world. Together, they control a huge chunk of the market share, and their flagship products are some of the most popular phones on the planet. Other major players include Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo – all of which are based in China.
